Georgia, also known as ‘The Empire State of the South’ and ‘The Peach State’ because of the state’s growers’ reputation for producing the highest quality fruit, is a nice state. Due to this reputation, the peach became Georgia’s official state fruit in 1995. From its beautiful aquarium to its interesting museums, from its many state parks to its flowing lakes, Georgia is obviously a must-see and must-visit state.
Georgia is located in the southeastern United States. It was established in 1732 as the last of the original thirteen colonies. It is named after King George II of Great Britain. Georgia borders Florida on its southern part, the Atlantic Ocean and South Carolina on its eastern part, Alabama on its western part and Tennessee on its northern part. It is the 24th most extensive and the ninth most populated state of the 50 United States. The capital and most populated city of Georgia is Atlanta.
I have visited Georgia a few times with my family. We love traveling to different national and state parks, to hike and see different animals and trees. Georgia allows for that and so much more. It is truly a fantastic state to explore.
